The Nettla technology fee

This article explains more details about the Nettla technology fee

Updated over 2 weeks ago

The Nettla technology fee is a small charge of £0.30 that is applied to all online payments. This fee enables continuous platform improvements, allowing us to develop new features at a rapid pace—benefiting both operators and players.

How the Technology Fee is Charged

🔹 Charged to the Player (Default)

By default, the Nettla technology fee is added to the player’s total purchase amount at checkout. The fee is clearly displayed to the player, along with a brief explanation of what it covers and why it’s included.

🔹 Charged to the Operator (Optional)

If preferred, clubs can choose to absorb the fee instead of passing it on to players. In this case, Nettla deducts the fee from the total transaction amount, ensuring the player is not charged separately.

When the technology fee is not applied

• Bookings without payments or £0 amount

• Offline payments (payment-on-site etc.)

• Payment with Points (club wallet)

• Payment with subscription-style charges (auto renewal)

Why This Fee Exists

Ensures continuous innovation & feature updates

Helps maintain a high-quality platform for clubs & players

Keeps Nettla running at peak performance for all users

With this approach, Nettla ensures a transparent and flexible pricing model, giving clubs full control over how the fee is handled while keeping the platform future-proof and constantly improving.
